And to Honiara, Solomon Islands, from the airport to the town either by taxi or walk 100 meters to the main road and take a minibus to the Central Market for S$ 5 (50 cent), S$3 for each part in case you have to change in Lunga on the way to the airport.large_b898adb0-3210-11e9-b757-110a2b79c74b.JPG
Well worth seeing is the museum in Mendena Avenue on the way to the post office, 3 separat buildings (one is the museum shop), a traditional looking church is in the same compound. The museum is closed Sundays, pay by donation.
If you go there Sundays you will see a lot of singing and dancing and a very long sermon.
Also worth seeing. the Central Market, closed in Sundays, other markets like the Fishermans Village Market in the way to the airport are open on Sundays.
In case your accomodation doesn't have wifi, the Lime Lounge in the town center has free (slow, as probably everyone else) wifi, good coffee and cakes, also regular meals.
